The Curse Keepers (Curse Keepers Series, Book 1) by Denise Grover Swank

**I received a free copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for my honest review**

Ellie Lancaster thought it was all just an elaborate fairytale – a lost colony that disappeared into thin air over 400 years ago – all part of a curse brought on by a member of the Dare Family, part of her family line.  That is until the gorgeous stranger enters the New Moon Diner, and it suddenly feels like all of the air is sucked out of the room.  And of course Ellie’s match-making boss pushes Ellie his way…and upon just a simple touch, her whole world is forever changed…and intertwined with that of the sexy stranger, Collin Dailey, as the two Curse Keepers – her from the Dare family line, and him from the Manteo family line.  They are humanity’s last chance…and they only have seven days to keep the curse or die trying.

I couldn’t put this book DOWN!!  From the first page, I was seriously hooked by Ellie and Collin’s story!  Given that with their first interaction, spark were literally felt by the other, you could feel it as the reader.  While they put up a good front and tried to stay away from each other, their red-hot romance was just that…H-O-T – smoldering even!

Ellis is smart, spunky, and a kick-butt red-headed young lady, and while she may feel like she is floundering through her life, she is fiercely loyal and protective of her friends and family.  Collin is just an all around bad-ass Mr. Wrong with a lot of secrets – but together, maybe they can save each other and the world.

Ms. Swank has hit yet another home-run with the Curse Keepers series (just like the Chosen series –AWESOME!) – if the 2nd and 3rd of the series are anything like this 1st in the series, we as readers are in for some seriously HOT twists and turns on Ellie and Collins quest to save themselves and the world!  Definitely a 5 star worthy book!
