See Through Me (Lose My Senses Book 1) by Sera Bright

**I received a free copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for my honest review**

When Katie Flynn left in the middle of the night 10 months ago, she never imagined returning to the place she grew up…especially when she left behind her BFF since childhood (and love of her life) Ash Townsend, the tall, dark, and handsome boy next store, without so much as a “see you later”. Even though she did so for a good reason – to keep Ash safe from the darkness within his own family. But Ash is pissed and has been looking for Katie ever since…asking friends, trying to call, and even email her. However, Katie stayed off the grid, all in her efforts to protect Ash.

So when she is forced to come back into town to once again rescue her drunk of a father as he’s off working on an oil rig, Katie just knows it’s a matter of time before Ash will find her and she’ll be forced to confront the fear and pain she ran from.

WOW! I truly didn’t think I would enjoy this book as much as I did. But from the first page, I was hooked. Katie is a bit of a martyr in some situations, but she is undoubtedly strong, smart, and independent. She’s the kind of girl that is loyal and wants to help her friends, no matter what the consequences; while Ash is the dark and brooding type, but is also fiercely devoted.

But when they finally admit that a summer fling isn’t what either of them wants – the sparks go flying! Their chemistry is undeniable…but what will their love cost them? I can’t wait to read the next book and see things from another prospective!
